# Troubleshooting Guide: New pH probe Not Recognized

## If your new pH probe is not being recognized by the system it may require decommissioning the old probe and commissioning the new probe

**Access calibration and commissioning **

1) Click utility Menu and enter the password to access the calibration and commissioning information section

The password can be obtained from the Rivertrace Engineering Team.

 

2) Click " Decommission" and remove the old probe   [pH probe replacement](https://hub.rivertrace.com/knowledge/ph-probe-replacement)

3)  Install the new probe and click " Commission"    [pH probe replacement](https://hub.rivertrace.com/knowledge/ph-probe-replacement)
