Verify the monitor for " Oil" presence and test alarms with 10 ppm & 20 ppm verification fluid

Procedure:
Step 1: Switch on the monitor and flush out with clean potable water for approximately 10 minutes. Periodically operate the manual clean (if fitted). If not fitted use the bottle brush supplied to clean the outlet block.
Step 2: Attach swivel elbow fitting to the inlet connection; fit the stiff plastic pipe to the elbow fitting such that the open end of the pipe is above the level of the outlet block. Remove the manual clean attachment (if fitted) from the outlet block.
Step 3: Take the bottle of 10ppm Verification Fluid, shake for one minute to obtain uniformity, and then leave to stand for a further five minutes, to release any entrained air bubbles.
Step 4: Pour in a quantity of the 10ppm Verification Fluid into the outlet block, to the level of the pipe connection. Drain via the plastic pipe and discard.
Pour in a further quantity of the Verification Fluid, cover the outlet block to exclude light and wait for one minute. Check that the display reads 10ppm +/- 3
Step 5: Flush out the system with clean potable water. Drain via inlet plastic pipe
Step 6: Take the bottle of 20ppm Verification Fluid, shake for one minute to obtain uniformity, and then leave to stand for a further five minutes, to release any entrained air bubbles.
Step 7: Pour in a quantity of 20ppm Verification Fluid into the outlet block, to the level of the pipe connection. Drain via the plastic pipe and discard. Pour in a further quantity of the 20-ppm Verification Fluid, cover the outlet block to exclude the light and wait for one minute. Check that the display reads 20ppm +/- 3. Check that both Alarm LEDs are illuminated.
Step 8: Remove the swivel elbow fitting and replace the manual clean attachment, if fitted.
Step 9: Reconnect all normal pipework.
Step 10: Turn off power
NOTE:
1. Sufficient materials have been supplied to give a minimum of two operations however it should be noted that the formazine solutions have a limited shelf - life.
2. Verification Fluids must be stored in a cool dark place for the duration of their shelf life.
3. Verification Fluids must be disposed of in accordance with local disposal instructions for chemical waste.
